Jane Wolfe: The Cefalu Diaries 1920-1923

Jane Wolfe was a student and caregiver of famed ceremonial magician and mountain climber Aleister Crowley, with whom she shared a complicated and productive friendship. As part of her work with Crowley, Wolfe was required to keep a daily magickal journal noting all of her regular practices, ritual work and observations, and this was reviewed by him.

Jane Wolfe: The Cefalu Diaries 1920-1923 contains photographs of her typewritten journal pages, with notes in the margins by Crowley. A fascinating historical record of a particularly important time in both of their lives, in the famed “Abbey of Thelema.”
