Join us for a book signing and workshop with author, artist and friend of the shop, Laura Tempest Zakroff. Laura will be coming to visit and present her workshop "Exploring the Anatomy of a Witch" on September 21. Signing and sale of Laura's art begins at 5pm, and the workshop begins at 7pm.

Aleister Crowley Demystified: Light in the Darkness 6pm on Saturday, May 30 7pm Book signing & social hour In this informative lecture, Dr. Shoemaker will explore the root principles of Thelema, the mystical and magical system of Aleister Crowley. While sometimes appearing dark to the casual observer, Thelema will be revealed as a life-affirming path of freedom, power, wisdom and light, in harmony with other systems of personal and spiritual growth. Special reference will be made to the work of Carl Jung and Wilhelm Reich–two 20th century psychiatrists whose work parallels that of Crowley in many ways.

Sigil Witchery workshop & book signing with Laura Tempest Zakroff
Laura Tempest Zakroff- author, artist, dancer and Witch- is coming to STAR + SPLENDOR for an evening workshop on Sigil Witchery and a book signing. Laura's book Sigil Witchery has recently won the Gold 2019 COVR Award for Best Book in the Witchcraft, Wicca, & Shamanism category, and her workshop will expand on some of the teachings in the book. Laura is stopping at Star + Splendor to teach her workshop “Sigil Witchery.” We’ll be learning about the history of symbols in magic and constructing our own sigils to use as part of our spiritual practice and personal empowerment.
