Intro to Tarot with Ami

This class is designed to help you unlock the methodology of the cards, so you can learn the system and begin working with them more quickly. We will explore the history, art and spiritual basis of the cards, and then dive into their basic structure and meanings. By the end of this class you will:
Learn how your deck is organized and why (major and minor arcana, the four suits, the court cards).
Understand how the elements are expressed through the cards and how they can help you interpret them.
Learn how the numbers on the cards connect deeply to their meaning.
Receive useful spreads, and determine which to use.
Establish a reading practice (shuffling, laying out the cards, asking questions, delivering interpretations).
Troubleshoot your readings.

Tarot Study Group – Wands

On September 14 at 7pm we will begin exploring the minor arcana with the Ace, Two and Three of Wands. Each session will have components of a spoken teaching, examination of the art, a meditation or “active imagination” session, and discussion of how we can apply the cards’ meaning to our readings and our lives.

Tarot Study Group – 7, 8, 9, 10 of Wands

On October 12 at 7pm we will be exploring the minor arcana with the 7-10 of Wands. Each biweekly meeting we will discuss 3-4 of the minor arcana cards in order, followed by the court cards. These session will have components of a spoken teaching, examination of the art, a meditation or “active imagination” session, and discussion of how we can apply the cards’ meaning to our readings and our lives.

This is an equally wonderful group for those interested in the archetypes, hermeticism, Kabbalah and the Western Esoteric Tradition, as the Tarot will be explored as a key to this wisdom.

Each biweekly meeting we discuss 3-4 of the minor arcana cards in order. These session will have components of a spoken teaching, examination of the art, a meditation or “active imagination” session, and discussion of how we can apply the cards’ meaning to our readings and our lives. This is a great group for both those who have been reading Tarot for a while and want to deepen their practice, and those who are new to Tarot and want to start from a strong foundation.
