Today, as I reflected on the readings I have been Today, as I reflected on the readings I have been doing this past month, I saw a theme emerging. So often people come to a reading to inquire about a troubled relationship. A one-sided friendship, a difficult partnership, an estrangement from a family member… My clients are such caring people. They are usually the ones looking to repair the relationship. The cards speak about what is unseen and unrealized about the trouble. It becomes clear that no one of us can take complete responsibility for the healing of a relationship. The other person has to *want* to repair it also. All parties must be willing to meet the effort. While this can be difficult to accept, it can also be revelatory. This is just one of the many ways I have seen the Tarot act as a healing tool. It places responsibility where it truly lies. It offers hope and suggests ways we can take care of ourselves. It is a clarifying tool mediated through the compassion of the reader.
