  • Intro to Tarot

    Join Ami Saturday, January 29 at 5pm for an introduction to the classic method of divination – the Tarot! This class is highly recommended if you are interested in attending our Tarot Study Group.

    In this 2 hour class, we’ll learn the methodology behind the cards, explore their history, and begin to work with them. You will need a classic Tarot deck with 78 cards (22 Trumps, 58 minors) and the traditional suits of wands, cups, swords, and pentacles/disks. If you’re not sure that your deck will work, get in touch with Ami to confirm by emailing shop@starandsplendor.com.

    You’ll start doing readings in the class, and you’ll receive some great spreads to get you started reading for others. Study materials will be given. Please bring a notebook and pen if you would like to take notes.

  • Reiki Level I with Dawna Hulslander

    Star + Splendor 196 Main St, Altamont, NY, United States

    Learn to heal yourself mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually in Reiki Level One.  This class introduces you to the history of Reiki, hand positions for self-treatment, and attunes you to the Universal Life Force Energy.

    The fee includes all materials, and your Level One attunement. You may want to bring a journal and pen for taking notes and a water bottle.

    This class will be held at Star + Splendor on Sunday, January 30th – 3 – 7 PM. The cost is $150.

    Join Ami for a bi-weekly, in-depth exploration of the Tarot. We will discuss and work with each of the Trumps first, and then move through the court cards and the pips. We will approach each card from an historic and hermetic perspective and allow the meaning and doctrine of each to blossom and guide us in our future readings. Each group session will have components of an spoken teaching, examination of the art, a meditation or “active imagination” session, and discussion.

  • Intro to Shamanic Journey with Dawna

    Join Dawna for an introduction to the safe methods for traveling to the “Otherworld” to work with your spirit guides, gain insight into your true self, and begin to come back into balance with your true nature. Discussion will include the various States of Consciousness and some of the methods for Shamanic journeywork. We will then journey to our sacred grove, our “base camp” for journeywork, explore, and get comfortable in the spirit realm.

  • Sound bath with Chris

    Chris Kaczmarek will grace our space on Friday, February 18 at 7pm with soothing sounds. She’ll be playing Tibetan healing bowls, chimes, soft drums and her lovely gong to create a soothing and uplifting soundscape for healing and stress relief. Chris is a Reiki Master and sound therapy practitioner, and her sound baths are enjoyed by all!

    Space is limited to 8, so please reserve your spot soon. Bring a mat, pillow and blanket for comfort. Masks are required.
