She’ll be playing Tibetan healing bowls, chimes, soft drums and her lovely gong to create a sound experience for healing and stress relief. Chris is a Reiki Master and sound therapy practitioner, and her sound baths are enjoyed by all! If you find meditation challenging, this will place you into an easy state of relaxation and centering.

    Join Ami for a bi-weekly, in-depth exploration of the Tarot, as we discuss each of the trumps individually. We will approach each card from an historic and hermetic perspective and allow the meaning and doctrine of each to blossom and guide us in our future readings. Each group session will have components of a spoken teaching, examination of the art, a meditation or “active imagination” session, and discussion.

  • Intro to Tarot with Ami

    The Tarot is a powerful, ancient tool of divination and one of the Hermetic arts. This class is designed to help you unlock the methodology of the cards, so you can learn the system and begin working with them more quickly. We will explore the history, art and spiritual basis of the cards, and then dive into their basic structure and meanings. By the end of this class you will:

    Learn how your deck is organized and why (major and minor arcana, the four suits, the court cards).
    Understand how the elements are expressed through the cards and how they can help you interpret them.
    Learn how the numbers on the cards connect deeply to their meaning.
    Receive useful spreads, and determine which to use.
    Establish a reading practice (shuffling, laying out the cards, asking questions, delivering interpretations).
    Troubleshoot your readings.
    Receive study materials to take home.

  • Autumn Tales of the Shapeshifter: The Selkie’s Pelt with Danielle Dulsky

    Initiatory stories open all roads, awakening us to the next possibilities in our lives and allowing us to behold the beauty of our own personal myths. These are the tales that orient us toward the inner wise one, the one with whom we commune in our spells, our art, and our magick. In this two-hour event at Star + Splendor, five-times published author Danielle Dulsky will share the timeless story of The Selkie’s Pelt, inviting participants to engage with the story through writing, reflection, and word-witchery. She will discuss the keys of “mythic witchcraft,” allowing stories to be energetic containers of meaning that can become both teacher and resource in our witchcraft. Participants should bring a journal and writing utensil. $40

    Danielle will be here from 3pm-5pm to sign books. The Selkie’s Pelt event begins at 5pm.
