Join us for an interactive 2-hour end-of-life workshop offering clear, practical guidance on navigating end-of-life care. The workshop includes learning about differences between hospice and palliative care, and how to recognize when hospice may be appropriate. Also included will be facilitated mini Death Café (group-led discussion about death and dying), printed pamphlets and resources, as well as ample time for questions.
About the instructor:
Dr. Agapi Ermides, D.O. is a physician trained in anesthesiology and hospice and palliative medicine, and a former hospice medical director. She continues to work as a hospice physician in a supportive, non-clinical role and also offers end-of-life companionship as a death doula. She is the founder of Liminal Troy, a death doula collective serving individuals and families throughout Troy and the Capital Region. Her work is further informed by experience in psychedelic preparation and integration, as well as a background in contemplative practice and writing focused on death, meaning, and the human experience.
