A place to meet other people like you. \nChurch of Myth will be held on the 3rd Sunday of each month at Star + Splendor at 96 Congress Street\, Troy\, NY\, from 4 – 5:30 pm.\nThere will be a myth-based sermon followed by a corresponding ritual.\nEach month will be different; each mythic tale chosen to reflect the stars\, as well as our collective hearts & minds.\nAll are welcome.\nCoffee hour will follow Church. Come meet & mingle! We’re keeping it just a little traditional over here 😉 \nCHAPTER 1: PAN \nPan\, god and protector of shepherds and all untamed\, wild places\, is one of the greatest and most powerful of the ancient Gods. Depicted as half-man and half-goat\, he represents nature in all of its raw\, wild strength\, and is a symbol of the joyous and often gruesome way nature goes about propagating her own fertility and abundance. \nAs the initiatory meeting of Church of Myth occurs so close to the Summer solstice\, Pan is undoubtedly the perfect mythic figure to start with.
